Meet the 2022-2024 governing council

Strong leadership has been a hallmark of Chi Omega since our founding in 1895 when four young women at the University of Arkansas embarked on what would eventually become one of the largest women’s fraternal organizations in the world. The Fraternity is still thriving today because of the intentional efforts and wisdom displayed by Governing Council members over the past century. At the 64th biennial National Convention of Chi Omega, held June 24th-26th in Phoenix, AZ, our delegates elected the next Supreme Governing Council of Chi Omega to serve the Fraternity as national officers for the 2022-2024 biennium. The officers are as follows:

·      S.H. Laura Shrode Miller (National President), initiate of Rho Epsilon Chapter at Texas Christian University

·      S.T.B. Anna Funderburk Buckner (National Vice President), initiate of Alpha Beta Chapter at Auburn University

·      S.K.A. Missy Ganaway Pask (National Secretary), initiate of Sigma Alpha Chapter at Miami University

·      S.N.V. Jill Diane Bowman (National Treasurer), initiate of Zeta Beta Chapter at the University of Arizona

·      S.M. Elaine Thompson Baker (National Ritual Officer), initiate of Pi Chapter at the University of Tennessee

The Council is directly responsible for policy-making and the governance of Fraternity business. These women are dedicated volunteers who support the Fraternity by working day-to-day with the Executive Headquarters staff, Foundation Board of Trustees, Chi O Creations Board of Trustees, national teams and committees, other Chi Omega volunteers, and National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) constituents. These talented women, who have been elected to the Governing Council for the 2022-2024 biennium, have achieved many accomplishments both personally and professionally and have extensive involvement within Chi Omega. Chi Omega is appreciative of the commitment to excellence exemplified by these women and the Fraternity looks forward to the next two years of their collective leadership.
